For a luxury hotel in historic property, we designed a custom made Arts & Crafts zone for children 4 to 12 years old.
The design has been custom made, to match the brand guidelines, integrate artistic local aspects as well as match operative aspects.
On 7 June 2025, Splendido, A Belmond Hotel in Portofino, reopened after a major renovation led by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio. Once a 16th-century monastery, the hotel has long been a symbol of the Italian Riviera’s glamour, and its redesign blends Ligurian craftsmanship with contemporary comfort. Guests will find refreshed rooms and suites, a new social hub in Baratta Sedici, and Italy’s first permanent Dior Spa. The celebrated restaurants La Terrazza and Splendido Grill continue to showcase Liguria’s culinary traditions under Executive Chef Corrado Corti.
Perched on a hillside with sweeping views over the Bay of Portofino, Splendido combines natural beauty with a rich sense of history. Highlights of the reopening include the cinematic saltwater pool, wellness experiences inspired by the Riviera, and the new Baronessa Suite, a private retreat with direct access to the pool and gardens. Adding to its allure is Villa Beatrice, a restored seaside palazzo unveiled in late June 2025, now offering an exclusive private residence with panoramic sea views — completing this new chapter in Splendido’s story.
